Lacing Fruits and Vegetables is made of carefully grown and slowly dried linden wood, coated with safe, water-based paints. When you take the piece in your hand, you will see that the texture of natural wood shows though the paint. The unique and beautiful feature of all the toys is the velvety-rough surface, perfect for stacking and balancing. This finish is acquired by the use of a non toxic water based colour stain, which penetrates into the wood leaving a rich matte finish thus preserving the natural qualities and natural markings of each unique piece of wood. A set of 10 realistic coloured handmade wooden lacing fruits and vegetables. Perfect for threading, sorting and using as role play food. Includes long lace with wooden ends, for easy threading. These Wooden Lacing Fruits are great for enabling children to improve on their fine motor skills whilst trying to weave the thread through the holes, they can even try to identify what type of fruit it is. Follows the principles of Waldorf pedagogy. This toy is carved and painted by hand in our manufacture in Ukraine.
